Your pipes stop leaking. Your drains flow the way they should. Your water pressure comes back.
That’s what happens when someone who knows coastal plumbing problems shows up with the right tools and actually fixes the issue. Not a temporary patch. Not a “let’s see if this works” approach.
Living near the ocean means your plumbing takes a beating from salt air, humidity, and Florida’s hard water. Metal fixtures corrode faster. Pipes develop pinhole leaks. Drains clog with mineral buildup. And when a storm rolls through, you need someone who can respond fast—not next week when it’s convenient.
We handle everything from emergency plumbing services to full drain replacement and PVC replacement. If it involves water coming in or going out of your home, we’ve seen it, fixed it, and know how to prevent it from happening again. You get straight answers about what’s wrong, what it costs, and how long it’ll take.
Drain Wizard is a family-owned plumbing company based in Cocoa, serving Floridana Beach and all of Brevard County. Carl, our owner and master plumber, started learning the trade at 16—digging trenches, replacing cast iron, installing water heaters, and handling everything in between.
We’re not a franchise. We’re not a call center that dispatches whoever’s available. We’re local guys who’ve spent years dealing with the specific problems that come with living on Florida’s Space Coast.
Over 40 years of combined plumbing experience, backed by 20 years of military service. That means we show up on time, do what we say we’re going to do, and don’t leave until the job’s done right. We’re licensed, insured, and we give you a straight price before we start—no surprises when the bill comes.
You call or text us at 321-288-7686. We ask a few questions to understand what’s going on—whether it’s a leak, a clog, low pressure, or something else.
We schedule a time that works for you. If it’s an emergency, we move faster. We show up with the tools and parts we’ll likely need based on what you described.
Once we’re there, we assess the situation. We explain what’s wrong in plain language—not plumber jargon. We tell you what it’ll cost to fix it, and we don’t start until you approve the price.
Then we fix it. We test everything to make sure it’s working properly. We clean up after ourselves. And if you have questions about maintenance or preventing the same issue down the road, we’ll walk you through that too.
You’re not stuck wondering what happened or whether it’s actually fixed. You know exactly what we did and why.

We handle drain cleaning, drain installation, and full drain replacement when your old pipes are too far gone to save. A lot of homes in this area still have older cast iron or Orangeburg pipe—both of which break down over time, especially in Florida’s climate.
PVC replacement is common here. It holds up better against salt air and doesn’t corrode like metal. If you’re dealing with recurring clogs, slow drains, or sewage backups, there’s a good chance your drain lines need more than a quick snake job.
We also handle emergency plumbing services—burst pipes, water heater failures, slab leaks, and storm-related damage. If it’s flooding your home or about to, we respond fast.
Floridana Beach sits right on the coast, which means your plumbing is constantly exposed to moisture, salt, and mineral-heavy water. That’s why we don’t just fix the immediate problem—we look at what caused it and whether other parts of your system are at risk. You get a full picture, not just a band-aid.
It depends on what’s broken and how complicated the fix is. A simple repair like replacing a faucet or clearing a drain might run a couple hundred dollars. Bigger jobs like drain replacement, re-piping, or slab leak repairs cost more—sometimes a few thousand depending on the scope.
We give you a clear estimate before we start. No hidden fees. No surprise charges when we’re done. You’ll know what it costs upfront, and you decide whether to move forward.
If you’re comparing prices, make sure you’re comparing the same level of service. The cheapest quote usually means shortcuts—wrong parts, incomplete fixes, or someone who’s not licensed. You end up paying twice when it breaks again.
Yes. Plumbing emergencies don’t wait for business hours, and neither do we. If you’ve got a burst pipe, a backed-up sewer line, or flooding from a storm, call us and we’ll get there as fast as we can.
Florida’s rainy season and hurricane threats mean you need a plumber who can respond quickly when things go wrong. We’ve handled plenty of storm-related damage—broken pipes, flooded crawl spaces, sewer backups from overwhelmed systems.
Emergency calls get priority. We’ll walk you through what to do while we’re on the way—like shutting off your main water valve to minimize damage. Once we arrive, we assess the situation, stop the immediate problem, and figure out what needs to be repaired or replaced.
Salt air. It’s the biggest culprit. Tiny salt particles settle on exposed pipes and fixtures, causing oxidation and rust. Metal pipes corrode faster here than they would inland—sometimes years faster.
Add Florida’s high humidity and you’ve got condensation forming on pipes, which speeds up the corrosion process even more. If you’ve got older galvanized steel or cast iron pipes, they’re especially vulnerable. You’ll start seeing pinhole leaks, reduced water pressure, and discolored water.
PVC and copper hold up better, but even copper can develop issues over time in coastal environments. That’s why regular inspections matter. Catching corrosion early means you can replace a section of pipe before it bursts and floods your home. We see this all the time in Floridana Beach—it’s not a matter of if your pipes will corrode, it’s when.
If you’re calling for drain clogs more than once a year, it’s time to consider replacement. Constant repairs add up fast, and they don’t solve the underlying problem—which is usually old, deteriorating pipe.
Orangeburg pipe and old cast iron are common in older Brevard County homes. Orangeburg was basically tar paper pipe used in the ’60s and ’70s. It collapses over time. Cast iron rusts from the inside out. Both eventually fail completely, and when they do, you’re looking at sewage backups and expensive emergency repairs.
Replacing your drain lines with PVC costs more upfront, but it’s a permanent fix. You’re done dealing with clogs, backups, and emergency calls. PVC doesn’t corrode, doesn’t attract tree roots the same way, and lasts decades. We’ll inspect your lines and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense for your situation.
You’ll notice a few warning signs. Your water bill jumps for no reason. You hear water running when nothing’s on. There are warm or wet spots on your floor. Your foundation might even crack if the leak’s been going on long enough.
Slab leaks happen when pipes running under your concrete foundation develop leaks—usually from corrosion, shifting soil, or poor installation. They’re more common in Florida because of our sandy soil and the way homes are built here.
If you suspect a slab leak, don’t wait. The longer it goes, the more damage it causes—not just to your plumbing, but to your foundation and flooring. We use leak detection equipment to pinpoint exactly where the leak is without tearing up your entire floor. Then we’ll discuss your options—whether that’s rerouting the pipe, repairing the section, or doing a full re-pipe depending on the age and condition of your plumbing.
Low water pressure usually means one of three things: a leak somewhere in your system, a clogged pipe, or a failing pressure regulator. Sometimes it’s as simple as a clogged aerator on your faucet—that’s an easy fix.
But if it’s affecting your whole house, you’ve got a bigger issue. Florida’s hard water causes mineral buildup inside pipes over time, narrowing the passage and reducing flow. Galvanized pipes are especially prone to this. Corrosion can also create blockages as rust flakes off and clogs the line.
We’ll test your pressure, inspect your pipes, and figure out where the problem is. If it’s buildup, we might recommend replacing the affected section with PVC. If it’s your pressure regulator, we’ll replace that. You shouldn’t have to live with weak showers and slow-filling toilets—it’s fixable, and we’ll tell you exactly what it takes.
