You’re standing in a cold shower wondering how long you’ll be without hot water. Or worse, you’re looking at a puddle spreading across your garage floor, hoping it doesn’t reach the drywall.
Water heater problems don’t wait for convenient timing. They happen on Sunday mornings, during family visits, right before you leave for work.
What you need is someone who picks up the phone, shows up when they say they will, and actually knows what they’re doing. Not a call center routing you to the next available technician three days from now. A real plumber who’s seen your exact problem dozens of times and can tell you straight whether you need a repair or a replacement.
That’s what we do. We handle water heater leaking, complete failures, strange noises, no hot water, and everything in between. Most emergency calls get hot water restored the same day.
We’ve been handling plumbing services in Cocoa Beach since 2007. We’re a small family-owned business based right here in Cocoa, not a franchise operation managed from out of state.
Our lead plumber is a State Certified Master Plumber with over 40 years of experience and 20 years of military service. That background shows up in how we work: on time, straightforward, no surprises on the bill.
We know what salt air does to water heaters in Cocoa Beach. We know how humidity accelerates corrosion and why hard water causes mineral buildup faster here than inland. Most importantly, we know you don’t have time for a three-day wait when your hot water heater stops working.
First, we pick up the phone. You tell us what’s happening, and we give you a realistic timeframe for when we can get there. For emergencies, that’s usually same-day.
When we arrive, we diagnose the problem. Is your water heater leaking from the tank itself, or is it a valve or connection? Is the heating element shot, or is it a thermostat issue? We walk you through what we find and what it’ll cost to fix before we do anything.
If it’s repairable, we handle it right there. If the tank is corroded through or you’re looking at a second major repair in six months, we’ll tell you replacement makes more sense. We install quality Bradford White water heaters because they hold up better in Florida’s coastal climate.
You get upfront pricing. No hidden fees or “additional charges” that appear at the end. We tell you the cost, you approve it, we do the work. Hot water gets restored, usually within a few hours.

We repair and install both gas and electric hot water heaters. Traditional tank models, tankless systems, hybrid units—if it heats water in a Cocoa Beach home, we work on it.
Coastal homes face specific challenges. Salt air accelerates corrosion on any exposed metal components. High humidity means condensation issues happen faster. Hard water is common throughout Brevard County, causing mineral deposits that reduce efficiency and shorten lifespan.
We account for all of that. When we install a new unit, we make sure it’s properly sized for your household, positioned to minimize salt air exposure where possible, and set up with the right anode rod for Florida water conditions.
For repairs, we stock common parts for same-day fixes. Heating elements, thermostats, pressure relief valves, drain valves—the components that typically fail first. If your water heater is leaking, we determine whether it’s a gasket, connection, or tank failure, then give you honest guidance on repair versus replacement.
Most tank water heaters last 8 to 12 years in Cocoa Beach, which is shorter than the national average. The coastal environment accelerates wear.
Salt air causes faster corrosion of metal components, even on units installed in garages or utility rooms. Florida’s hard water creates mineral buildup inside the tank, which insulates the heating element and makes it work harder. Higher humidity means more condensation, which can rust out connections and valves faster than in drier climates.
If your water heater is approaching 10 years old and you’re starting to see rusty water, hear rumbling noises, or notice small leaks, it’s usually time to replace rather than repair. A new unit will be more energy-efficient and won’t leave you without hot water at the worst possible time.
Most leaks come from one of three places: the pressure relief valve, the drain valve, or the tank itself.
Pressure relief valves can start dripping when sediment buildup causes pressure spikes inside the tank. This is fixable—we replace the valve and flush the tank. Drain valves sometimes develop leaks from corrosion or a loose connection. Also fixable in most cases.
Tank leaks are different. If water is seeping from the tank body itself, that means internal corrosion has eaten through the steel. There’s no repair for that. The tank needs replacement. This happens faster in coastal areas because of the combination of hard water, salt air, and humidity. If you’re seeing water pooling under your water heater, call us right away. A small leak can become a flood quickly, and water damage in Florida leads to mold growth within 24 to 48 hours.
If your water heater is under 7 years old and the repair is straightforward—like a heating element or thermostat—repair usually makes sense.
If it’s over 10 years old, or if you’re looking at a second major repair, replacement is typically the better investment. Here’s why: older tanks are less efficient, so you’re paying more each month to heat the same amount of water. They’re also more likely to fail completely, often at the worst time. And if the tank itself is corroding, you’re one small leak away from significant water damage.
We’ll give you honest guidance based on what we see. If a $200 repair buys you another three years, we’ll tell you that. If you’re throwing money at a unit that’s going to fail in six months anyway, we’ll tell you that too. The goal is to help you make the right call for your situation, not to upsell you on something you don’t need.
Yes, we handle same-day water heater installation for most emergency situations, as long as we have the right unit in stock or can source it quickly.
If your water heater fails completely and you need hot water restored today, we’ll get it done. We keep common sizes on hand and work with local suppliers to get units fast when needed. Most installations take 3 to 4 hours from start to finish, including removal of the old unit, installation of the new one, and testing to make sure everything works properly.
We install Bradford White water heaters because they perform well in Florida’s climate and our customers have had good long-term results with them. They’re built to handle hard water and coastal conditions better than cheaper models. You’ll get upfront pricing before we start, and we’ll walk you through what to expect with your new system.
That rumbling sound is sediment buildup at the bottom of your tank. Florida’s hard water is loaded with calcium and magnesium, which settle out and form a crusty layer over time.
When the heating element fires up, it has to heat through that sediment layer, which causes the popping and rumbling you’re hearing. It’s not just annoying—it’s making your water heater work harder and use more energy. It also accelerates wear on the tank itself.
The fix is flushing the tank to remove the sediment. If it’s been years since the last flush, or if the buildup is severe, we might recommend replacing the anode rod at the same time. That’s the component that sacrifices itself to prevent tank corrosion. In coastal areas with hard water, anode rods wear out faster. Replacing it extends the life of your water heater and prevents the rumbling from coming back as quickly.
Traditional tank water heaters store 40 to 50 gallons of hot water and keep it heated all day. Tankless systems heat water on demand as it flows through the unit, so you never run out.
Tankless units are more energy-efficient because they’re not constantly reheating stored water. They also last longer—typically 15 to 20 years versus 8 to 12 for tank models. The tradeoff is higher upfront cost and more complex installation, especially if you’re converting from a tank system.
For Cocoa Beach homes, tankless can be a smart choice if you have high water usage or limited space. They’re compact, efficient, and handle Florida’s humidity better since there’s no tank to corrode. But they require proper sizing based on your household’s peak demand. If three people are showering while the dishwasher runs, you need a unit that can keep up. We’ll help you figure out what makes sense for your home, your usage patterns, and your budget.
