Ever hear loud banging noises when using the plumbing in your home or business? It could be ‘water hammer’. Many Brevard County and Cocoa area residents experience this.

What is Water Hammer?

Water hammer creates a loud banging noise that seems to come from your pipes when you shut off a valve (such as a faucet or showerhead). Often caused by damaged or worn out faucet washers, mineral buildup may also be a culprit, as are loose pipes.

How to Fix Water Hammer:

*Toilets should automatically refill on their own.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, try limiting the flow from shut-off valves or hiring a local plumber in Cocoa or Cocoa Beach to come check out the issue.
